I
received my birth Doula training
from DONA (Doula’s of North
America). I am duel-certified by adding
CAPPA's birth doula
certification to my list.
I have been involved
with childbirth since the birth
of my first child in 1976.
I had the
privilege of being a La Leche
League leader, leading monthly
meetings and attending
conferences in the late 1970’s and
early 1980’s. I successfully
breastfed three children and at
the same time became a certified
Bradley childbirth educator, teaching a
series of 12 weekly classes from
my home.
After helping
women and their partners achieve
their birthing goals and
attending many of the births as
a support person, it was only a
natural progression to move on
to be a doula.
I have renewed my Childbirth
Education Certification with CAPPA
(Childbirth and PostPartum
Professional Association).
I am always
adding additional certifications
to my list of qualifications and
continually stay abreast of the
current information available.

I
currently offer a series
of birth preparation
classes which also include
newborn care and breastfeeding
information. My classes are
designed to help expectant
parents build trust and
confidence in themselves and the
birth process. I teach
relaxation techniques, share
stories, show videos and lead
discussions, all designed to
show how normal the birth
process is. I also offer
private classes to accommodate
busy schedules.

I am also
offering a 2 class series
for Lactation Education to
get you prepared for
breastfeeding.

I
am a
"Happiest Baby on the
Block™" instructor
holding classes
quarterly (call for schedule). I
am so excited about this program
by Dr.
Harvey Karp, and hope to be able to share it
with you.
I have taken
and completed training in
Aroma Therapy, Acupressure and
an introductory to Jin Shin Jyutsu for birth.
I look
forward to being your
"Doula With Love".
